Important Service Information

eVisitNB is available to help with your medical concerns. You may want to check your symptoms to determine how serious they are and if a healthcare visit is needed.

Your first point of contact should always be your primary healthcare provider (your family doctor, nurse practitioner, or NB Health Link).

For patients currently without a primary health care provider, we can help you with your medical concerns and any routine investigations or referrals to specialists.

For patients currently with a primary health care provider who cannot access their provider in a timely manner, we can help you with non-urgent medical concerns, including any appropriate investigations.

You can also visit Accessing Healthcare to learn about the many community resources you can access without a primary health provider, including Tele-Care 811, mental health or addictions support, and pharmacists.

“Wait” times?

Yes, sometimes there will be a wait to see a healthcare provider. But one of the best features of virtual care is that you can go about your day, and we’ll simply text you when a provider is available to see you! On days when demand is much higher than normal, wait times can extend past six hours. When this occurs, you will receive a notification that your request is cancelled so you can opt to use another healthcare option, such as your Primary Care Provider, Telecare 811, your pharmacist, or an after-hours clinic. If you wish to remain in the waiting room, simply resubmit your request.

Be ready.

When you request your consult, you will have the option to upload information about your health concerns, such as photos and files. Please prepare for your consult by gathering and uploading these files before your consult begins. You may also need to upload a copy of your Medicare card and a photo ID so your provider can verify your identity. Please take a picture of your card and upload the photo when prompted before your consult begins. These pre-consult actions will save you and your provider lots of time and allow us to focus on your health concerns.
